Dude, use XDA and in search write Gio, and you will go to android developments, and go to 2.3.6 version post where you can overclock it.

ok i found the 2.3.6 with overclock and installed it but when i go to droid overclock i still can only go till 800mhz am i using the wrong program or something

i used this mod and it says overclocking so why can't igo higher then the normal 800mhz

Flash it using xrecovery or cwm as .zip
