Yes MCBP needs ARMv7 but Gio has ARMv6 processor.

You can also play N.O.V.a 2 and Shadow Guardian on Ace,but i dunno why .

the ace and the gio have the same hardware specs.
if a game works on one it should work on the other

No,absolutely no !Nova 2 can be played on Ace by editing build.prop,so the game will believe that Ace is Desire S and will work.I tried it on Gio but it didn't .Nova 2 also works on s.e x10 mini,maybe if you edit the build.pro like that it'll work..but nothing sure bout' it.
