USB problem

Please I beg you reply as fast as you can to this topic..I am using samsung galaxy gio(obviously)and i am a sort of a problem with my data cable...So..i connect my phone to the pc (i am using samsung kies) , and..no response..until now it appeared a thing with Usb connected to PC on my phone and i needed to turn a green android into an orange one..you know..the android sign..that stickman..oK so my battery is recharging but my phone is not read.Even when i open up kies it says "PLEASE INSERT A DEVICE"..But the device it's connected...I really don`t know what to do..

Calm down dude,it happens for me 2 times per day .
Restart the phone and the pc too.

Why do you use Kies anyway?

He can't update/flash his phone with Odin.

i cant update with kies the stock rom i flashed, kies dont know that rom so i cant check for new firmware updates

Try to reinstall kies or uninstall kies & install this:

I havent fixed it;
Havent found the answer anywhere on web.

Restarting your phone wont help, the PC too, reinstalling the KIES either. Ive tried with 2 PCs and its obviously a fault with phone because my friend has a GIO too and we tested some stuff.
You could try updating your android version through the phone via wi-fi.
Shits hit the fan and i cant do it right now in my country.
You can use a sd card adapter and access your files like that.

how do you update via wi-fi?

alright alright i restarted my pc and my phone and DONE

You can update via wi-fi by going in settings>about phone>programmature update.
Something like that.
