Help me guys....CLOCK WORK MOD

I have froyo 2.2.1, not rooted, not updated or anything........ I wanted to install CWM 5.x version instead of stock so i downloaded a file named as: px-cwm-v2 (It is Clockwork mod 5.x)... I booted into stock CWM and apply update from SD card and it said the file didn't existed as update.zip......So after turning on in normal mode i renamed the px-cwm-v2 file as update as the extension was already in .zip....... Now! after booting into stock CWM i apply update from SD card and it searched the file and installed it........

The problem begins now.....When now i try to reboot in recovery it stucks on samsung logo.....the first logo...where samsung mobile is written..... i can't access CWM and have to remove the battery and restart the phone... the phone works when only pressing on/off button but not with home + power button.........
Tell me a cure to this.......PLEASE.....

and after that do the update v2 with cwm recovery with install zip in the menu

what do you mean with after that install v2?

so if i just apply the zip file i have a cpu i can overclock?

For cwm x5 must have android 2.3 and up.

i have 2.3.6
