Updating froyo??? Cynogen!!!

Can I root gio on froyo???? Install cynogen ,gio pro ,simply gio or any other hell of a ROM.??????
Whats the procedure then ???? What can I do to root it??? Can rom manager help??? Or some other stuff????

DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER WITH GALAXY GIO. THIS WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE. this is the first rule when buying a gio and trying to customize it .

So can u tell me how then..... Surfing for right.answer causes big problems. Everyone has their opinion, so its difficult to find the right method
